Overdraft Protection
We understand that unexpected overdrafts can and will occur from time-to-time. AmeriFirst offers services to protect your account from being overdrawn.
Overdraft Sweep
You can set up an automatic sweep from another Deposit Account you have with AmeriFirst to protect your account from being overdrawn. There is a $2.00 fee per transfer.
Overdraft Protection
AmeriFirst offers a plan to end checking account overdraft complications and charges. Overdraft protection means that we’ve approved, in advance, a personal loan to balance your account should you become overdrawn. With this plan, you can avoid costly overdraft charges and embarrassing delays. Subject to interest and fees. You will receive a monthly billing statement and your payment will be due 21 days after receipt of billing.
Overdraft Privilege
If you are an AmeriFirst Bank customer, your overdraft privilege will continue as it currently is; with new limit amounts noted below. If you are an existing Escambia Bank customer with Bounce, you will be converted to the AmeriFirst Bank overdraft privilege. Overdraft privilege allows you to overdraw your account up to the disclosed limit for a fee to pay a transaction. Even if you have Overdraft Protection, Overdraft Privilege is still available as a secondary coverage if the other protection source is exhausted. Overdrafts for everyday debit card transactions and ATM withdrawals will only be covered with your consent. You may give us consent by contacting your local office or visiting one of our convenient locations. If you have already given your consent to cover every day debit card transactions and ATM withdrawals, it is not necessary to do so again. AmeriFirst Bank has the discretion to pay your overdrafts and we can withdraw or reduce the amount of your privilege at any time.
New Limits will be:
Consumer: $400
Business: $1,000
